Mike Cohen, who resigned earlier this week as president of Oxxford Clothes, has been named president of Hickey Freeman.
This confirms a report in Tuesday’s WWD.
The 22-year veteran of the men’s wear industry will oversee the luxury men’s brand, formerly headed by Paulette Garafalo, and will work closely with Doug Williams, chief executive officer of parent company HMX LLC, on all aspects of the business.
“I am pleased to have Mike joining our team at the HMX Group. His experience and broad knowledge of all aspects in the men’s tailored arena will be invaluable to our growth and expansion of the Hickey Freeman brand,” said Williams. “We are looking forward to Mike’s infectious passion for product and seeing the results that his many years of experience will most certainly bring to our business.”
