Rag & Bone, which has a reputation for supporting longstanding American factories and English craftsmen, has just collaborated with Penfield, a 34-year-old outerwear maker based in Hudson, Massachusetts, on a goose-down jacket for fall.
The men’s version of the wool puffer features removable sleeves and contrasting yokes and comes in two color ways—brown waxed cotton on gray wool or black leather on black wool. The women’s has a hood and non-removable leather sleeves. The water-resistant and windproof melton wool comes from Schoeller of Switzerland. The jacket is co-labeled on the interior, and features a leather Rag & Bone arm patch on the exterior. It will retail for $795.
