LAS VEGAS — Trafalgar, a division of Randa Accessories, will be producing and marketing belts, leather goods and leather related gifts for Ike Behar under a recently signed license—the first such deal for the better maker of men's leather goods and neckwear.
"This is the first time we've gotten into licensing," said Ed Crookhorn, Trafalgar's president. "We wanted a partner that made sense for our business and Ike Behar fits perfectly into what we can do." The deal could also include bags going forward.
The full collection will debut fall 2009 but a tidy range of elegant belts will be available for next season and are being shown at the MRKT show in Las Vegas. The grouping included American crocodile in traditional gloss, as well as a denim-friendly matte finish. Other standouts include an Italian brown suede with mocha pick stitching and a ribbed leather that had the texture of burled wood. Belts will start at $120 and top out near $600 for luxury skins.
