Alberta Ferretti’s Philosophy collection, which is influenced by jazz, takes its cues from the Twenties and Thirties atmosphere of the film “The Cotton Club.” The designer favors tiered shells in cotton eyelet, embroidered camisoles and cropped pants. Matthew Williamson, for his part, channels urban contemporary Havana through lush tropical flora and graphic tile motifs, in a vibrant collection of plunging cowl necklines, backless dresses and slim tunics. At Rag & Bone, David Neville and Marcus Wainwright take the most wearable elements of the Eighties, including cropped jackets and leggings, and temper them with softly structured knits and dresses.
