The Los Angeles-based firm has signed new collaborations for both ready-to-wear and accessories.
The rtw collaboration is with textile designers Carolina Irving and Lisa Fine, who are known for their bohemian sensibility. They will be working with Lucky on two collections for spring 2013 and summer 2013. The spring line will hit Lucky Brand stores, luckybrand.com and select department stores in February.
Irving and Fine’s style was born following a textile sourcing trip to India, which inspired them to design caftans, tunics, peasant blouses and coats. For their collaboration with Lucky Brand, Irving and Fine infuse their signature aesthetic into woven tops, dresses, jeans, jackets and accessories. The spring collection retails from $89.50 to $199. A six-piece collection for summer is priced from $89.50 to $169.
“Partnering with other designers allows us to diversify our product assortment while staying true to who we are as a brand,” said Dave DeMattei, chief executive officer of Lucky Brand. “It’s something that resonates strongly with our customers and enhances Lucky’s boutique-inspired shopping experience.”
The company will also collaborate with jewelry designer Melissa Joy Manning. The collaboration includes statement necklaces adorned with turquoise and agate, a chain bib necklace, a bracelet and ring crafted from agate and hammered metal, etched metal hoop earrings and turquoise set stone earrings. The pieces range from $35 to $99.
Beginning in January, the Melissa Joy Manning for Lucky Brand collection will be available at Lucky Brand stores and at luckybrand.com.
