Gucci Creates Year-Round Travel Capsule Collection

MILAN — Gucci has launched a new year-round travel capsule collection called Gucci Viaggio.

Designed by creative director Frida Giannini, it includes both ready-to-wear and accessories, all featuring the new Gucci Viaggio label.

In order to meet the needs of sophisticated globetrotters, Gucci morphed wrinkle-free waterproof wool, lightweight stretch cotton and matt nylon in a range of elegant yet functional pieces, spanning from urban trenches and blazers to more casual parkas and bombers. Giannini also designed nylon foldable outerwear pieces featuring a travel pouch and a number of cashmere tops, jersey T-shirts and cargo pants.

To complete the line, there is a wide range of accessories, including flexible high-tops, driving shoes and ballerinas, GG nylon soft luggage pieces, calfskin totes and backpacks, along with small items such as a stole, a blanket, two hats, a sleeping eye mask and a cotton neck cushion.

The Gucci Viaggio collection will hit Gucci stores worldwide and the company’s e-store this fall.
