NEW YORK — Karin Gregersen, president of Vince, will add the title of chief creative officer. In that role, she will continue to oversee all of Vince’s creative functions, including design, merchandising and marketing, as well as the brand’s wholesale business.

Doo-Ri Chung, Vince’s creative director, has decided to resign from her position to return to New York, effective Friday. She joined Vince last January and relocated with her family to the Los Angeles area.
“Doo-Ri has played an important role at Vince during her time with the company,” said Gregersen. “She has worked tirelessly with our L.A.-based design team to develop compelling collections. ”
Chung couldn’t be reached for comment. She has been involved with the fall, holiday and spring 2014 Vince collections.

Jill Granoff, chief executive officer of Vince, noted that Gregersen has already been guiding all of the creative functions since joining Vince earlier this year. “Karin has been a strong partner to me and a critical member of our team, bringing more than 20 years of fashion leadership experience from Chloé/Richemont and Givenchy,” said Granoff.
Led by Gregersen, the design and merchandising teams work collaboratively to develop Vince apparel and accessories. There are no plans to replace Chung, and the company emphasized that design is a team effort.
Vince is about to embark on a road show for its initial public offering. The planned IPO is for up to $200 million. Following the IPO, Vince will be become Vince Holding Corp. and the non-Vince businesses will be under the Kellwood Holding Corp. umbrella.
