Jane Page Named President of Lisa Perry

She joins the company from Balenciaga America, where she held the post of vice president of wholesale.

NEW YORK — Lisa Perry has tapped Jane Page as president of the company.

Page, who starts today, is joining from Balenciaga America, where she served as vice president of wholesale and spent the last six years. Prior to that, she was vice president of retail and wholesale at Molton Brown USA. Earlier in her career, Page was general manager of retail at Jil Sander for the U.S., and held such titles as director of e-marketing for jcrew.com, director of strategic brand management at J. Crew, and manager of licensing at Giorgio Armani.

Page is joining the company at a time when it is looking to add new categories and build its wholesale distribution.

“It took something very intriguing for me to leave Balenciaga, which I absolutely loved,” she said, noting that she had started speaking to Perry before Nicolas Ghesquière’s departure from Balenciaga. “What appealed to me about Lisa Perry is the ability to use all the different experiences from my past in one place: retail, wholesale, dot-com, marketing and strategic planning. It was this incredible opportunity to pull all these different pieces together and to use them in one place.”

Page is taking over responsibilities from Blair Lawson, who left the company last month and relocated to Los Angeles.

Over the past year, Perry implemented several strategic initiatives to position her business for further growth. Last August, she added an e-commerce component to her Web site. She also collaborated with artist Jeff Koons. The next artist collaboration is currently in the works and planned for September.

“My focus is going to be the product development piece, the wholesale development piece along with the p.r. piece,” Page said. “Everything else [will] fall into place when the pieces are right.”

Perry said she “clicked” with Page from the moment they met. “I knew that she understood our brand DNA and is as excited as I am to see Lisa Perry grow,” Perry said. “She is smart, passionate, stylish and nice so it makes sense that she has such an amazing reputation in the industry. I feel lucky to have her as a partner as we continue to expand.”
