Parent company Gaydoul Group, a Swiss investment firm, has appointed Myriam Mele as the brand’s news managing director. Mele returns to Jet Set, where she was in charge of marketing and retail until she took over the Könix store in Zurich, establishing a multibrand footwear concept. Mele will be supported in her new position by her husband, Gegè Mele, who has also already worked for Jet Set. For almost 20 years, he managed sales at the national and international level, and he will now take over the areas of wholesale and product coordination.

“The new management team is highly familiar with both the Jet Set brand and the industry. Its task is to concentrate the product portfolio, position a clear brand statement and develop new concepts for the wholesale and retail area,” said the company.
Hailing from Saint Moritz, the brand was founded in 1969 and broke ground in the luxury sportswear segment. Favored by the likes of Gianni Agnelli and Grace Kelly, Jet Set’s popularity peaked in the Eighties. Suppancig, who has worked in executive positions at firms such as Hugo Boss, Escada, Valextra and Ittierre, joined Jet Set in summer 2011, expanding its product offer and evolving it into a leisure, luxury and comprehensive brand.
