The limited-edition line, bearing the Carolina Herrera New York label, will feature three tailored silhouettes in silk charmeuse: a ribbon-trimmed Empire waist chemise with back bow detail that provides a slender silhouette, a camisole and side-closure boy-short with silk drawstring tassels and a classic button-front pajama top and pant. The pajama set has a hand-stitched and embroidered monogram pocket at the front, as well as satin collar and cuff detailing. All pieces are trimmed with Herrera’s signature grosgrain ribbon detail and finished with silk covered buttons.
The capsule line has two color variations including champagne with black accents, and deep navy with sun-washed lavender detail. Created and made in New York, the three styles will be available exclusively at Carolina Herrera’s four boutiques in the U.S. in November. Suggested retail will be $460 to $650.
Shapiro has established her atelier in the heart of New York’s Garment District. After founding the Ari Dein brand in 2009, she quickly grew her lingerie line and was selected for the Council of Fashion Designers of America’s Fashion Incubator program.
