NEW YORK — Icebreaker will open its second Manhattan store on Jan. 23.
The new TouchLab store, at 823 Washington Street, will be across from the High Line and near The Standard Hotel in the heart of the Meatpacking District.
“The Meatpacking District is a chic and exciting neighborhood with fantastic energy,” said Jeremy Moon, founder and chief executive officer of the New Zealand-based brand. “We are excited to introduce Icebreaker to its residents and to the multitude of visitors who come to shop its premium stores. Icebreaker is perfect for active New Yorkers who value stylish, high-performance apparel. It has something for everyone — from runners, cyclists and other fitness enthusiasts — looking for a natural alternative to synthetics.”
The store will offer the company’s complete outdoor, running, cycling, travel, kids’, underwear and city collections, all made from merino wool from New Zealand.
Icebreaker opened a TouchLab flagship in SoHo in December 2010. There are also stores in Portland, Ore., the company’s U.S. headquarters, and San Francisco. In Canada, there are TouchLabs in Vancouver and Montreal.
