Despite the troubled economic climate, the intimate apparel spring market last week was packed with parties that eased the somber mood.

The round of events included several brand launches, such as Jessica Simpson Intimates and French label Rosy lingerie, which is making its first foray into the U.S. market, as well as relaunches such as Donna Karan Intimates. The party mood extended to established brands like Hue, which does legwear, sleepwear and bras; Hop Lun, which has the 6ixty 8ight and O Lingerie names, and Playboy Intimates, which did a Playboy mansion-inspired party with Playboy bunnies.

Vanity Fair intimates staged a private party for the Macy’s divisions that featured Private Collection by Vanity Fair on models, a Macy’s exclusive. Freshpair.com got in on the action with a fashion show and soiree celebrating national Underwear Day that was hosted by Lydia Hearst.
