Los Angeles-based designer Malony said three of her bra and coordinating panty sets will be featured: Morning Dew, Inked and Sugar Plum Fairy.

Matthias Jaschke, founder of Berlin-based Wundervoll, described his underwear designs as “courageous and sophisticated,” noting the inspiration is “Art Deco and retro-futurism.”

The exhibit features undergarments that range from basics to shape-definers and fashion must-haves, and will display how women’s underwear has evolved as women’s roles in society have changed. From the risqué to the radical, items include an original merry widow corset by Warner’s, inspired by Lana Turner in the film of the same name; a corset by burlesque queen Immodesty Blaise; a gown created from bras and briefs by Vin & Omi, and a Swarovski crystal-embellished bra by La Perla.
