Daytime soap opera diva Susan Lucci is expanding her association with HSN.

The Emmy award-winning actress has developed a collection of Pilates and fitness apparel that will be produced by Fila and sold exclusively on HSN. It will make its debut at 9 a.m. Wednesday.

In 2000, Lucci launched a jewelry and fragrance collection on HSN, a line that has been expanded to include skin care, fitness, fashion and accessories and has grown into a multimillion-dollar business for the retailer. Her Malibu Pilates program of fitness DVDs and ancillary products has sold more than 44,000 units since its launch in September 2008. The new Fila apparel is designed to complement this program.

“Working with Fila was a natural outgrowth of my Malibu Pilates program,” Lucci told WWD. “Women want to get in the best shape of their lives while looking good, so I was happy to work with Fila on this collection. Bringing this line of clothing to the HSN audience allows us to bring beautiful quality in performance apparel at an affordable price.”

She said the fitness apparel “is soft to the touch and comfortable on the body. It’s nice and attractive, so you can wear it outside the gym while running errands. The colors are great and the fit is flattering. You want to feel good while working out, and this collection does just that.”

The collection features Fila’s Peached poly-spandex fabrics and includes a racer-back floral tank, a cutout back long bra top, a cami tank, a hooded jacket and pants with contrast piping. The tops are made with a built-in bra designed to flatter the neck and back. The pants offer a contrast band that can be folded down to add a splash of color. The line will retail for $33 to $49.90.

The collection will be offered at 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Wednesday and at 11 a.m. on Thursday.
