Fashionology Group LLC has hired Andrea Scoli as president and Ellen Levy-Ganz as vice president of merchandising of Caribbean Joe.

Scoli most recently was president of Sweetface, and before that spent six years at Liz Claiborne Inc. as vice president and general manager of Enyce and executive vice president of Laundry.
“Andrea’s diverse women’s background, coming from three areas of the market, gives her a three-dimensional background that is critical in the world we live in,” said William Sweedler, co-chairman of Fashionology.
Levy-Ganz joins Caribbean Joe from Tommy Bahama, where she served as director of sales management, revenue planning and marketing for the women’s division. Prior to Tommy Bahama, she served as group president of GarfieldMarks Design Group and as division president of sportswear at Elie Tahari.
Both started Tuesday. Based in New York, Levy-Ganz reports to Scoli, and Scoli reports to Mark Mendelson, chief executive officer of Fashionology and president of Ellen Tracy.
“Their first step will be to get the product cohesive across the men’s, women’s and kids divisions,” said Mendelson, who worked with Scoli in the Nineties. “Once they function as a brand, the possibilities are endless for retail, Internet, catalogue.”
Scoli replaces Jeffry Levy, who stepped down from his role last year but continues as a consultant. Levy-Ganz’s is a new post.
“The one thing that has come across really clear since we bought Caribbean Joe is that we needed a merchant, as well as a person who really understands brands,” said Jamie Salter, co-chairman of Fashionology. “We’re stepping it up from a merchandising side and a branding side, which sells not only on product and price but also on its brand.”
The $120 million Caribbean Joe business includes the moderate Caribbean Joe, Havana Jack Café, Jamaica Bay and Periscope brands.
