Fame, Moda and AccessoriesTheShow Head to Brazil

According to Britton Jones, he expects to bring about 50 ready-to-wear and accessories brands to the Brazilian market.

BJI Fashion Group, producers of AccessoriesTheShow, Moda and Fame, will create “a show within a show” featuring international brands from the U.S. at the upcoming Couromoda and São Paulo Prêt-à-Porter Fashion Week in Brazil from Jan. 13 to 16.

According to Britton Jones, president and chief executive officer of BJI, “Colocating with São Paulo Prêt-à-Porter represents an enormous opportunity for international contemporary collections wishing to expand into the massive and rapidly growing Brazilian and Latin-American markets, which are already the sixth largest in the world. However, they are still largely untapped by U.S. brands and are looking for iconic, trend-centric contemporary merchandise.”

Jones expects to bring about 50 ready-to-wear and accessories brands to the Brazilian market. The company has just begun its sales effort, so it was too early to list vendors who will be participating.

São Paulo Prêt-à-Porter is home to more than 500 apparel and accessories collections, and attracts more than 20,000 visitors each season. The show offers its exhibitors direct contact with buyers all over Latin America.

Couromoda, the international shoe and leather goods fair, is considered the most important event held in Latin America for the footwear business. The upcoming 40th edition will host more than 3,000 collections and is expected to have about 85,000 visitors from all over Brazil and 60 international countries.
