The Jones Group Taps Milton Pappas for E-commerce Post

As president of e-commerce, he will oversee e-commerce and digital initiatives across the company’s portfolio of fashion brands.

NEW YORK — Milton Pappas has been appointed president of e-commerce at The Jones Group Inc., a new post.

Pappas, who begins today, takes over some of the duties previously handled by Ron Offir, former president of Jones Direct Group (retail and e-commerce), who joined Michael Kors Holdings Ltd. as senior vice president of global e-commerce in November.

Most recently, Pappas was the U.S. vice president of e-commerce customer experience for Toys ‘R’ Us. In that role he oversaw the Web-based business of toysrus.com, babiesrus.com and fao.com. Earlier, he was executive vice president, business development at Redcats USA, Inc.

Pappas will oversee e-commerce and digital initiatives across the company’s portfolio of fashion brands, which include Jones New York, Nine West, Anne Klein, Stuart Weitzman, Kurt Geiger, Rachel Roy and Brian Atwood. He will work closely with the heads of each brand to develop digital strategies and to build Jones’ multichannel business.

Pappas reports to Scott Bowman, group president of global retail and international development.

“Milt has a proven track record of transforming the operations of established retailers by introducing innovative digital initiatives that enhance brands,” said Bowman.
