MUSE’S NEW CREATIVE HEAD: Meiae Kim has been named creative director of Muse Apparel, a fashion-forward dress and sportswear company. She succeeds Shena Shaw, who left the company.
Kim will oversee all areas of fashion design for the brand’s dress collections and expand Muse Apparel’s offerings to social and sportswear separates.
Most recently, Kim was design director of contemporary dresses for BCBG Max Azria, where she oversaw all phases of design. She has also worked for Hervé Léger, Max Azria Atelier, Forever 21, A.B.S. by Allen Schwartz and Laundry.
Camille Passaro, president and chief executive officer of Muse, said Kim’s “experience and passion for design, coupled with her unique world view will be invaluable to our brand as we expand our offerings.”
Founded in 1999, Muse is sold in major department and specialty stores such as Nordstrom, Macy’s, Lord & Taylor and Dillard’s, as well as more than 1,000 specialty boutiques. The line retails for approximately $138 to $220.
