Quinn, a new contemporary sportswear brand, will be introduced at Coterie next month for fall.
The company is owned by Jean Kolloff, president. Most recently, Kolloff was a co-owner of QI New York, the ready-to-wear division of QI Cashmere.
Built on wardrobe fundamentals, Quinn is geared to the luxury-minded customer who desires understated designs and attention to detail. It will offer a broad range of women’s apparel, accessories, loungewear and home goods. Quinn expects to branch out to men’s apparel and leather goods next year, and plans to eventually open freestanding stores, according to Kolloff. The brand’s home division, QI Home, opened its first brick-and-mortar store in Naples, Fla., in December, and will be retained under the umbrella of Quinn, Inc., and will house a collection of cashmere throws, blankets and pillows. Quinn also owns the contemporary brand Ainsley.
Quinn, which is being produced both domestically and in Asia, will feature knitwear, wholesaling for $100; woven pieces for $190, and leather styles for $225. The collection will consist of luxurious fabrics such as cashmere, silk, leather and wool. Among some of the looks for fall are leather and knit jackets, color-blocked shirts, fur-front cardigans, poncho pullovers, tunic dresses and pleated pants. There are also several faux fur and vegan leather options in the line.
Quinn’s design director is Bree Telford, who was previously design director of sweaters at QI New York. Earlier she was a designer for White + Warren and Line Knitwear.
The line is targeted at department and specialty store retailers, contemporary boutiques and the e-commerce site, quinnshop.com.
