Tom Glaser to Head VF Supply Chain

He will succeed Boyd Rogers, who is retiring.

Tom Glaser, vice president of global operations, has been appointed president of supply chain and a vice president of VF Corp.

The appointment is effective Jan. 1, at which time Glaser will succeed Boyd Rogers, who is retiring after 40 years of service.

Glaser is currently vice president of global operations. He joined VF in 2001 as managing director of VF Asia Ltd. Sourcing, based in Hong Kong, and relocated to Lugano, Switzerland, as president of supply chain for Europe and Asia in 2006 before promotion to his most recent post last year.

He will have responsibility for VF’s global supply chain, including all manufacturing and sourcing. Like Rogers, he will serve as a member of the company’s operating committee and report to Eric Wiseman, chairman, president and chief executive officer of VF.

Rogers has served as president of supply chain at VF since 2005, a year after he became a member of the company’s operating committee as vice president of global supply chain and technology. He joined Blue Bell Inc. in 1971 and assumed responsibility for process reengineering and management of shared services, technology and global sourcing at VF in 2000. Blue Bell and VF merged in 1986.
