PARIS — Première Vision SA said it plans to acquire the Cuir à Paris leather and fur trade show from Groupe SIC SA. That means it now owns all six shows in its Première Vision Pluriel portfolio.
Première Vision said the acquisition, made through its subsidiary ModAmont, would be effective March 1 and it would organize the next edition of the trade show, due to take place from Sept. 16 to 18. Première Vision is also thinking about adding a leather and fur segment to some of its international trade shows, it added.
Cuir à Paris has been showing under the Première Vision Puriel banner since 2005 and generates annual revenues of around 6 million euros, or $8.2 million at current exchange, according to Première Vision.
Première Vision, which organizes 34 trade shows each year in France, Belgium, Brazil, China, Spain, Turkey and the United States, specializes in salons geared to materials and services for the fashion and home industries.
