The New Yorker Sets Table for White House Correspondents’ Dinner

Fred Armisen of “Saturday Night Live,” Carrie Brownstein, Jason Schwartzman and Aziz Ansari have accepted the magazine's invitation to the event.

AT THE TABLE: Fred Armisen of “Saturday Night Live” will no doubt be looking for new material for his long-standing impression of President Obama when he joins The New Yorker at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner in a few weeks. Armisen will be seated next to Carrie Brownstein, his partner on the sketch comedy show “Portlandia,” while Jason Schwartzman, who filmed a video last year to introduce the magazine’s iPad app, will be on hand as well. “Parks and Recreation” star Aziz Ansari, who appears with Schwartzman in the film “Funny People,” has also accepted the magazine’s invitation to the annual event on April 28.
