EYE OF THE BEHOLDER: In the 10 years François Nars has owned the private island of Motu Tané off the coast of Tahiti, he has been busy shooting endless rolls of film. Now the makeup artist is getting ready to release a photography book highlighting its beauty.
Designed by Giovanni Bianco, “Tahiti: Faery Lands” will be presented in a slipcase when it arrives in stores Oct. 15. At the moment, Nars does not have any plans to celebrate the debut of his work that focuses on what is one of the 118 islands scattered in the South Pacific’s turquoise waters.
