The MIT Technology Review credited Italia Independent with developing cutting-edge treatments for eyewear, such as UV Lux, which was previously used in the automotive industry and gives glasses frames a velvety look, and I-Thermic, which allows eyewear to change color in high temperatures.
Tessitore founded Italia Independent Group in 2006 with Lapo Elkann, who is the company’s president.
