FRENCH LESSONS: Jean Paul Gaultier snuggles up to model Karen Elson in a campaign for his one-off collaboration with affordable Scandinavian fashion chain Lindex. The images, lensed in Paris by photographer Jason Kibbler, will be seen mainly outdoors, on TV and online in all 16 markets where Lindex operates.
Elson dons a tattoo T-shirt, sailor-striped cardigan, zippered pencil skirt and a rugged Perfecto, showing off a collection the designer describes as a “small wardrobe by Gaultier, with my typical codes but interpreted in a new way.” The collection is slated to go on sale in 323 of Lindex’s 480 stores, and online, on Oct. 8, with a portion of proceeds going to breast cancer research.
Prices range from 10 euros, or $13.40 at current exchange, for a bracelet to 59.95 euros, or $80.30, for a sailor top and 199.95 euros, or $267.85, for a leather jacket.
Owned by listed Finnish department store operator Stockmann Group, Lindex operates in all of Scandinavia, Russia, the Baltics and the U.K. The Gaultier tie-up is to mark Lindex’s 60th anniversary, as reported.
