Alex White’s Next Move?

Internet reports surfaced that the former W editor might be angling for a long-term gig at Vogue.

GOOD SEATING: A few hours after Alex White was seated next to Anna Wintour and the Vogue team at the Calvin Klein Collection show Thursday morning, Internet reports surfaced that White might be angling for a long-term gig at the magazine. Sources said White has been freelancing with Vogue on a few shoots, although a spokeswoman at the title could not be reached for comment. White departed W in early 2011, after 16 years with the magazine. At the time, there was speculation that she would start her own magazine. Her site, alexwhiteedits.com, says, “Web site coming soon.”

Despite reports that White is working with Vogue, it’s unclear how close she is to the title at this point. Apparently, her Calvin Klein seat assignment came at White’s request, not Vogue’s, according to sources.
