Hearst Buys Italian Agency

Hearst Magazines International said Tuesday it has acquired HAW srl.

Hearst Magazines International announced on Tuesday it had acquired HAW srl, the company founded by Luciano Bernardini de Pace, who has sold Hearst magazines’ advertising spaces in Italy for years.

HAW srl will be incorporated in Hearst Advertising Worldwide Italy, a Milan-based unit of Hearst Magazines Italia.

Hearst Advertising Worldwide Italy, which will be in charge of both Italian and Swiss markets, will handle the sales of the advertising spaces for all Hearst Magazines, including all the editions of Harper’s Bazaar, Esquire, Cosmopolitan, Town & Country, and all Hearst Magazines International’s publications, along with Elle and Elle Décor’s international network and Marie Claire.

General director Robert Schoenmaker will helm the unit and he will report to Hearst Italia chief executive officer Giacomo Moletto.
