L’Uomo Vogue Spotlights China in October Issue

The China Issue, which has 144 pages of advertising, boosted the magazine’s revenues by 104 percent.

LOOKING AT CHINA: China is definitely having a moment. The country of the dragon in not only offering growing opportunities to fashion brands but also to the publishing industry, as highlighted by Italian men’s magazine L’Uomo Vogue, which dedicated its October issue to China. The China Issue, which has 144 pages of advertising, boosted the magazine’s revenues by 104 percent compared with last year’s October issue.

The magazine, which has actress Fan Bingbing, shot by fashion photographer Francesco Carrozzini, on the cover, features editor in chief Franca Sozzani’s brief interviews with a number of Chinese personalities, including writer, musician and music producer Han Han, dubbed as the most popular blogger in the world; actor Chen Kun, and Oscar-winning composer Tan Dun.
