Louis Vuitton Foundation Taps Executive

Berluti’s Isabella Capece Galeota is to also direct communications at the art museum.

ART SMART: Bernard Arnault’s long-awaited Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris’ Bois de Boulogne is gearing up for a fall opening — and building its team. WWD has learned that Isabella Capece Galeota, brand and communications director at Berluti, has also been tapped to head up communications of the future art destination, reporting to its managing director Sophie Durrleman.

Unveiled in 2006, the foundation’s Frank Gehry building — capped with a glass roof resembling a cloud — is to showcase LVMH’s vast corporate art collection, plus temporary exhibitions.

Before Berluti, Capece Galeota was Vuitton’s director of communication in charge of PR and events. Her new foundation responsibilities are in addition to her current role.
