RAKING IN MILLIONS: It’s good to be Gisele Bündchen. According to forbes.com, which on Monday released its list of The World’s Highest-Paid Models of 2014, Bündchen pocketed $47 million thanks to her modeling contracts with H&M, Stuart Weitzman, Chanel and Carolina Herrera, as well as her cut from the jelly sandals she designs for Brazilian shoemaker Grendene. Bündchen is also the face of Pantene hair products and Oral-B in Brazil, and has her own line, Hope Lingerie.
Bündchen’s earnings were more than five times greater than the second highest-paid model, Doutzen Kroes, who earned $8 million through her L’Oréal contract and Victoria’s Secret deal, as well as her H&M catalogue work and appearances for Emilio Pucci and Miu Miu. Kroes also has her own line of cashmere sweaters and is the face of Reveal, Calvin Klein’s new fragrance. Adriana Lima also earned $8 million for her modeling work for such brands as Victoria’s Secret (she’s the longest running Angel in the brand’s history), Maybelline and Desigual, where she’s the brand ambassador. Kate Moss earned $7 million as the face of David Yurman and as the Rimmel ambassador, as well as through her collaborative line with Topshop. She also fronts St. Tropez self-tanning and Kérastase hair-care products. Kate Upton, famous for her Sports Illustrated swimsuit covers, also pulled in $7 million through contracts with Bobbi Brown and Express, as well as being the face of Sam Edelman, David Yurman and Accessorize.
Rounding out the top 10 are Miranda Kerr ($7 million), Liu Wen ($7 million), Alessandra Ambrosio ($5 million), Hilary Rhoda ($5 million) and Natalia Vodianova ($4 million). According to forbes.com, the 21 models on this year’s list earned a combined $142 million in the last 12 months.
