VROOM VROOM: For her fall campaign, Rebecca Minkoff culled inspiration from Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman’s 2004 documentary television series, “Long Way Round,” in which the duo traveled from London to New York on motorcycles. The designer reimagined the series with a fearless female protagonist — in this case, model Eliza Cummings in New York’s Central Park, shot by photographer Dan King. The images will debut on billboards throughout New York and Japan and on rebeccaminkoff.com later this month.
The brand has also made some new hires. Kathryn Floyd, the former U.S. online style editor at Net-A-Porter and market director of Marie Claire, has taken over as editorial director of brand content, while Paul Aberasturi, who spent six years as the former chief financial officer of Diane Von Furstenberg, has joined the company in same role.
