WSJ SHIFTS ROLES: Ruth Altchek, editorial director of WSJ Weekend at The Wall Street Journal, is taking on an executive role within the Strategy Group of parent News Corp. Altchek joined the Journal in June 2010 as an editor to help create the Saturday Off-Duty section and was instrumental in building the weekend edition, of which she was editor. She also oversaw WSJ. Magazine, which is edited by Kristina O’Neill.
In other changes at the Journal, Emily Nelson, editor of Personal Journal, will take on additional responsibilities for Off-Duty and WSJ. Magazine as a senior editor. She has been at the helm of Personal Journal for the past four years and will continue in that role.

Dale Hrabi, Off-Duty’s deputy editor, has been bumped up to editor of the section. He joined Off-Duty in January 2013, and before that was editorial director of TheWeek.com, prior to which he held posts as editorial creative director of Details and deputy editor of Radar.
Rachel Dodes, film features writer, is joining the Twitter talent team as manager of film partnerships.
