LOS ANGELES — Designers moved full steam ahead after nominations for the 65th Annual Golden Globe Awards were announced here Thursday, making calls, preparing sketches and readying samples as awards season kicks into gear. Despite the Writers Guild strike, many in Hollywood and around the world are hopeful the red carpet show, considered a predictor of the Oscars, will go on. The Golden Globes ceremony is to be broadcast live on NBC at 8 p.m. EST on Jan. 13.
