Kyle Hagler has been named president of Next New York, a division of Next Model Management, a new post.
Most recently Hagler was senior manager at IMG Models, where he worked for 17 years.
He will report to Next Model Management co-chief executive officers Faith Kates and Joel Wilkenfeld.
“I think he is incredibly talented and dynamic, and he’s the future of the modeling business,” said Kates. “He knows how to take someone brand new and take them the whole distance.”
At IMG, Hagler launched the careers of Joan Smalls, Hilary Rhoda and Liya Kebede and has been instrumental in the careers of Heidi Klum and Naomi Campbell. He has also represented models such as Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Karmen Pedaru.
Hagler, who begins Jan. 17, said, “I am [pleased] to work with a team that has a shared vision, which is noticing that talent and opportunity are everywhere.”
Next represents such models as Abbey Lee, Anja Rubik, Ana Beatriz Barros, Arizona Muse and Malgosia Bela, as well as talent such as Alexa Chung, Rita Ora and Lou Doillon.
