Samuelsohn Ltd., has added Alan Abramowicz to its team as co-president.
Abramowicz, who has spent the last 13 years as chief operating officer, chief financial officer and corporate counsel for Tommy Hilfiger in Canada, will be responsible for the administration and operations of the 87-year-old men’s wear company.
He will work closely with Arnold Brant Silverstone, president of design, marketing and sales for the brand, which was relaunched last year and operates a showroom on 57th Street in New York.
“Arnie has been successful in growing the brand by 50 percent in 18 months and Alan’s appointment is critical to adding the productivity and capacity necessary to transform Samuelsohn into a leading North American luxury lifestyle brand,” said Stephen Granovsky, chief executive officer of Samuelsohn and Grano Retail Investments, its parent company. “Furthermore, we have an opportunity to take our world-class made-to-measure offering to another level by improving turnaround time.”
