American Essentials Inc. will launch a collection of licensed men’s socks bearing the Izod name in mid-June at J.C. Penney stores nationwide.

Jordan Lipson, president and chief executive officer of American Essentials, said the line will reflect the iconic, all-American look that Izod is known for.
“Ideally, it will be aimed at the Millennial customer, but it will end up appealing to in a wide range of consumers,” said Lipson. “In many ways, the Izod line is a little preppy, young and colorful. It’s fashion.”
Casual crew styles in cotton blends will be rendered in 15 basic and fashion colors. Special features will include targeted cushioning for comfort in the heel and toe areas, as well as elasticized grippers for added fit. Prints and patterns will include argyles, stripes and plaids.
Suggested retail will be $7 per pair.
