Michael Adler to Launch Men’s Outerwear for JCS

The outerwear veteran has joined the company as vice president of sales for the Urban Republic and Xposur Zone men’s outerwear labels.

Outerwear veteran Michael Adler has joined JCS Apparel as vice president of sales for the Urban Republic and Xposur Zone men’s outerwear labels, which are being launched next year.

Adler, who had overseen sales for Hawke & Co. among other outerwear brands, reports to Jack Chehebar and Jack Sasson, owners of the JCS brand, which has been in business for more than 30 years and produces women’s and girls’ outerwear under the Dollhouse label.

Urban Republic will launch for spring 2013 with 15 to 18 styles including a lightweight faux leather jacket with a fashion-forward design and a retail price of about $150. The active-inspired Xposur Zone label will make its debut for fall 2013 and will include system and non-system jackets featuring plaid and printed shells. They will be priced at about $200.

Both brands will be targeted to better stores.
