John Bartlett Honored by Humane Society

The designer — who rescued a three-legged dog, Tiny Tim — created the “The Tiny Tim Rescue Fund,” supporting independent rescue groups across the country

John Bartlett, Inc. received the Henry Spira Humane Corporate Progress Award from the Humane Society of the United States Wednesday. The designer — who rescued a three-legged dog, Tiny Tim — created the “The Tiny Tim Rescue Fund,” supporting independent rescue groups across the country. The designer’s brand also earned the award for its celebration of fur-free fashion.

“John Bartlett continues to lead the way in furthering the fur-free message in the fashion world,” said PJ Smith, the corporate outreach manager for the Humane Society of the United States. “From working with local animal shelters to speaking to other fashion designers about the cruel fur trade, Bartlett’s passion for animals knows no bounds.”

In 2012, Bartlett debuted an entire collection composed of 100-percent cruelty-free garments.
