During a career spanning 20 years at Brioni, Barrato was instrumental in consolidating the brand’s wholesale business while also developing its retail network. He joined the company in 2003 as senior vice president of wholesale, and was promoted to president of wholesale in 2006 and ceo of the U.S.-based division in 2009.
“American buyers and customers were among the first outside of Italy to fall in love with Brioni’s distinguished elegance,” said Francesco Pesci, ceo of Brioni. “During his 20 years with us, Todd successfully enhanced this legacy, growing wholesale sales and increasing market share in the retail network.”
Barrato’s successor will be named in early May, the company said.
Barrato is the son of Joseph Barrato, who himself had served as president and ceo of Brioni USA for 20 years.
