Emiliano Rinaldi’s debut collection for La Perla men’s was a compelling blend of luxurious loungewear interspersed with modern athletic numbers. Flowy, kimono-inspired bathrobes worn over wide-leg pajama bottoms looked so chic they could have easily be worn to an evening cocktail on the town. Rinaldi worked them in stripes and checks or printed them with a “flying oyster,” the house’s new emblem. Elsewhere, he transformed butter-soft, printed silk to make sporty Bermudas — they were styled with either mesh polos or raffia kimono-jackets, letting off a subtle vintage feel.

Apart from an odd-looking overall look featuring glittery fish-skin appliqués, the collection was on-trend, feeding into the theme of now: underwear, overwear, anywhere and everywhere.
