Luxe suit makers do a delicate dance for 2011, juxtaposing gentlemanly fabrics with a fashion-forward silhouette. Herringbones, windowpanes and Prince of Wales plaids enrich a sophisticated gray palette, and even solid flannels have texture. But it’s the slim cut that gives this season’s tailored classics—seen here on stars of the New York City Ballet—their contemporary edge.
