Thermore Launches New Insulation Product

Thermore has introduced Rinnova 100%, a thermal insulation made completely from recycled polyester fibers.

ATLANTA — Thermore has introduced Rinnova 100%, a thermal insulation made completely from recycled polyester fibers.

Made from recycled PET fibers derived from plastic bottles, Thermore said it is the first thermal insulation in the U.S. made from all recycled polyester fibers. The company introduced its original Rinnova, featuring a 50 percent minimum recycled content, in 2005.

“Our development team was able to achieve the higher recycled content and soft hand our customers wanted, while still maintaining the functional aspects that make Thermore so appealing for cold weather products,” said Joe DiGirolamo, director of sales for North America.

Rinnova 100% insulation will be available in multiple weights for a wide range of weather conditions. Thermore said it is design friendly because of its two thickness options per weight, which are High Loft for a traditional look or Super Compact for slim fitting outerwear and gloves.

Demonstrating the product’s green appeal, Thermore said choosing to use Rinnova 100% over conventional padding in a typical jacket has the potential to save enough energy to power a 100-watt light bulb for 60 hours.
