Yamamoto Nixes Paris Men’s Show

Japanese designer to present next collection in showroom.

MILAN – Yohji Yamamoto Inc. said it would forego the Paris runway for men’s wear this season “due to the worldwide economic situation.”

Instead, the Japanese label plans to show its spring/summer 2010 collection by appointment in its showroom at 155 Rue Saint Martin here.

Other dropouts from the Men’s Fashion Week calendar in Paris include Armand Basi and Veronique Branquinho, who is to shutter her eponymous brand, as reported.
