In the glare of the Nineties references sweeping men’s fashions, sunglasses have embraced two of that decade’s key pop-culture moments for spring: rave parties and “The Matrix” movies.The raver shades from Gosha Rubchinskiy’s recent Retrosuperfuture collaboration have been a smash hit on the streets, and last season, the popular bug-eye-meets-Matrix shades that made waves at the fall Balenciaga show resurfaced for spring at Julien David and Off-White, among others.Edgy and spunky, the shapes make a Nineties statement in all the right ways.
Etro’s show, titled “The Tree of Life,” was a celebration of the house’s 50th anniversary. “My father founded the company in 1968, which was the year of counterculture and psychedelia.
