On Wednesday, the retailer said Andrea Dorigo has joined the company as president for North America, a newly created position.
Dorigo was formerly president of North American Wholesale for Luxottica Group, where he has held a number of senior management positions since joining the company in 2005.
He will report to Claudio Del Vecchio, chairman and chief executive officer of Brooks Brothers, and will be based at the company’s headquarters in New York City.
“Andrea brings a wealth of experience and a global perspective to the position,” Del Vecchio said. “I welcome him to Brooks Brothers and look forward to working together as we continue our rapid expansion.”
Del Vecchio’s father is the founder and chairman of Luxottica.
