NEW YORK — George Bellino, president and chief merchandising officer of Citi Trends, will retire from the value-oriented streetwear retailer in the spring or summer of 2008, according to the company.

Bellino was appointed to his current position in 2001, and was formerly the CEO of the Savannah-based Citi Trends. He also served as a company director from 1999 to 2005.

Citi Trends, which has more than 300 stores in the Southeast, mid-Atlantic, Midwest and Texas, has begun a search for a replacement for to fill Bellino’s chief merchandising officer position.
