Melissa Lowenkron has been named senior vice president and general merchandise manager of men’s, decorative home and Little BG for Bergdorf Goodman. Formerly vice president and divisional merchandise manager of men’s sportswear at Neiman Marcus, a post she has held since 2010, she will report to Joshua Schulman, Bergdorf’s president.

Lowenkron began her career at Neiman Marcus in 1997 as an assistant buyer in the children’s division and has since held positions of increasing responsibility at the company, including buyer for advanced contemporary collections and merchandise manager for the Michigan Avenue store in Chicago.
Schulman said Lowenkron’s “mix of merchant expertise and leadership skills make her perfectly suited for the role and I am confident she will make an important contribution to our men’s, home and children’s businesses.”
