Brioni continues to extend its retail reach. As part of its expansion strategy to open about 20 stores in the next three years, the Italian luxury firm said Tuesday it opened a shop in Dubrovnik, Croatia.

The 215-square-foot boutique for men and women is located in the historic Excelsior Hotel, which overlooks the Adriatic Sea.
“At the moment, growth in this part of Europe is a very interesting prospect for Brioni,” said chief executive officer Andrea Perrone, who added the company was in fact named after Croatia’s Brioni islands.
Brioni, which counts 60 stores worldwide, expects to roll out new shops in Shanghai, Barcelona and Lugano, Switzerland, this year.
