ATLANTA — Burlington Worldwide Limited has launched a joint venture to supply the Burlington Collection, a line of worsted wool and tweed suitings, in India.

The company, a unit of WL Ross & Co.,LLC’s majority-owned International Textile Group Inc. (ITG) and OCM India Ltd. rolled out a line of worsted wool fabrics in five designs and a pair of tweed designs at a dinner and fashion show held at the Shangri-la in New Delhi on July 23 for India’s fashion industry.

The Burlington collection, said Ken Kunberger, president of Burlington Worldwide, “reflects the extraordinary Indian flavor for design and colors combined with advanced fabric performance.”

The suitings fabric designs are Accolade, an all-wool collection; Optim, a woven in twill; Lifestyle, a twill weaved striped fabric with a contemporary look; Adonia, a twill and herringbone Super 120s fabric; and Cynosure, a Super 100s fabric available in many hues and colors.

The tweeds are Radiance, a silk wool jacketing design in an all-American look, and Agostino, a wool jacketing in Super 100s with some cashmere in a twill, herringbones and structured weaves.

Indian designers Raghavendra Rathore, Ashish Soni, Varun Bahl and Vijay Arora showcased their designs using the fabrics at the fashion show.
