Canali has hired Enrico DiGiovanni as its new wholesale director for the American market.
DiGiovanni succeeds Paul Buckter who was hired by Brioni last month to become its chief executive officer of North American operations.
Giorgio Canali, president of North American operations for Canali, said DiGiovanni has 20 years of experience in luxury men’s wear, having worked most for the past year at Giorgio Armani Collezioni as vice president. He has also been Brioni, Ermenegildo Zegna, Caruso and Paul & Shark.
“He has a good understanding of the men’s business, tailored clothing and the top U.S. accounts,” Canali said. DiGiovanni will be based in New York.
